the portrait of dorian gray

There are so many quotes from the Portrait of Dorian Gray that I just LOVE! I'm sat in suspense trying to finish the book because I simply could not stand the suspense of finishing... Just as I was getting into the story, I came across lines that I just couldn't ignore. Since I was right next to my computer, I wrote it down right away to remember it...
For a while at least.

"[...] women rule the world. I assure you we can't bear mediocrities. We women, as someone says, love with our ears, just as you men love with your eyes, if you ever love at all."

I may open this letter several more times as I retrace the pages for lines that entranced me in my first reading. For now, that will have to do.
