broken, originally uploaded by Megan Caros.
I could see your heart breaking for me today, friend. I know that, in theory, I should be more cautious and maybe even a bit scared about where life has led me up until now. I can tell that it pains you to see that I don't feel that way. It's more than the simple fact that I don't want to. I just don't need to anymore. And I'm sorry.
I am apologizing to you, friend, person I love and care for so deeply. I'm sorry for my words and beliefs that cut so deep today. I'm sorry that I've stopped fighting for it. For being lukewarm. I'm sorry that I've parted even farther from you. I am sorry that we are no longer the carefree, same-minded, and close individuals that we once were.
I knew that this would be the most difficult part for me. I knew that this is what would affect my life in the greatest way. I was right. More now than ever, I really wish I wasn't so externally motivated. To help. To comfort. To conform. I wish this didn't feel so right, so I would easily be able to drop it, turn away, and come back to your side... To trust and follow Him with true faith and determination. I wish it was that easy.
Well, I prayed today. For the first time in weeks, I feel. I prayed, to the God that I distrust and feel unsure about, for you. I prayed to your God, for your heart and the trials that I have set before you. I prayed that He may help you cope with the fact that I am not asking Him to help me. To heal me. To fix me.
I am really, very sorry.
I don't want to lose you.
I love you, friend.
A pretty flower in a vase
A slipper by the fireplace
A cello lying in its case
Soon she’s down the stairs
Her morning elegance she wears
The sound of water makes her dream
Awoken by a cloud of steam
She pours a daydream in a cup
A spoon of sugar sweetens up
And she fights for her life
as she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain
as it pours
And she fights for her life
as she goes in a store
with a thought she has caught
by a thread
she pays for the bread
and she goes…
Nobody knows
